Inspired by experimentation, discovery and going against the grain, this is a world first true grape-based gin made from the spirit of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. 40 years of craft made the wine. Inquisitiveness turned it into a gin. Strange Nature bears all the quintessential flavours of its unique Sauvignon Blanc origins. Aromatic and fruity, it’s part tropical and zesty, part herbaceous. Grown in New Zealand’s famous winemaking regions, every aspect of Strange Nature's lovingly-crafted gin is traceable. Unlike others the base alcohol to this gin has true terroir, starting its life in a Kiwi vineyard certified through Sustainable Winegrowing, they can pinpoint the roots behind each and every batch. Strange Nature found their origins in (or rather, out of) alcohol-removed Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. When the alcohol is gently removed from the wine, the aroma and flavour is preserved to create a fresh, vibrant white spirit grown from grapes. After 18 months of trials, they settled on double distillation with one botanical - juniper, what they saw as the most expressive style, a perfect marriage with their natural alcohol. The proof is in the drinking - this flavour is as unforgettable as it is unique.
